Brighter Voices is dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate counselling environment for young individuals aged 11 to 25. With over 15 years of experience, my tailored approach supports emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-confidence. My approach empowers my clients to voice their feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and foster a strong sense of self in a nurturing setting designed for growth.

My person-centred methods are respectful and developmentally appropriate, ensuring young people feel understood and accepted at their own pace. Together, we build a foundation for a brighter future.

Brighter Voices Counselling grew from my belief that young people deserve a space where they are genuinely listened to — not rushed, not judged, and not made to feel like a problem that needs fixing.
So many of the young people I work with arrive feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure how to put what they’re feeling into words. My role is to offer a calm, steady space where they can slow things down, make sense of their experiences, and feel safe enough to be themselves.
I have spent many years working alongside children, young people, and young adults in schools, youth services, and mental health settings. Again and again, I have seen how powerful it can be when a young person feels truly heard — sometimes for the first time.
I am deeply passionate about supporting young people during the moments when life feels heavy, confusing, or overwhelming. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, low mood, school pressure, friendships, identity, or simply feeling lost, I believe they deserve support that is warm, respectful, and human.
I work in a person-centred and integrative way. That means our work is shaped around you — your pace, your needs, and what feels most important in your life right now.
There is no set script for counselling. Some sessions involve talking things through, others might be quieter or more reflective. Sometimes we focus on coping tools or grounding strategies; other times we simply sit with what’s coming up. We take things one step at a time.
I work in a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming way, adapting sessions to suit how each young person thinks, feels, and communicates.
